CDA Haarlem
For the local branch of CDA Haarlem, we redeveloped the Haarlemse Maat website.
The website serves as the central platform where residents can find information about the party’s positions, news, and election program. The goal was to create a clear, accessible, and highly discoverable website that helps the residents of Haarlem quickly understand the party’s vision and encourages them to become involved in local politics.
The focus of the project was to make the website faster, more secure, and future-proof while preserving the existing content and structure.
Our website, professionally created by one of our valued partners, Studio Evers, is hosted on our reliable infrastructure at thehostmasters.com. Over time we have continued improving the website to meet the evolving needs of CDA Haarlem.
The assignment consisted of technically renewing and optimizing the existing website, with a strong focus on stability, speed, and improved visibility in search engines.
The main tasks included:
Migration to the latest version of WordPress
Improving loading speed and performance
Technical optimization of the theme and plugins
Improving the SEO foundation and structure
Optimizing the website for mobile use
Cleaning up and modernizing the technical codebase
The goal was to prepare the website for future content and growth.
During the migration we first carried out a full technical analysis. The website was then checked for compatibility with the latest WordPress version, and outdated components were replaced or optimized.

Review of metadata and page hierarchy
